Egypt says Israel using excessive force in Gaza

March 4, 2008 by Justin View Comments

‘IDF bombarding civilians without distinction,’ FM Aboul Gheit says during joint press conference with American counterpart in Cairo. Rice says Hamas using rocket attacks on Israel to delay peace process, voices concern over humanitarian situation in Strip

A couple of things here:

1) Israel isn’t “bombarding civilians without distinction,” Hamas is hiding its militants terrorists in civillian areas! Is Israel to sit back and do nothing to defend itself because Hamas puts innocent people in harms way? Sometimes there are no other options.

2) As much as I hate to say it, I agree with Condi. Hamas doesn’t want peace or a two-state solution, they want Israel gone. Following Dubya’s crappy road map is contrary to that goal.

Hamas is seriously contemplating severing the Gaza Strip’s economic ties with Israel, said Ahmed Yousef, a senior advisor to Palestinian Prime Minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, in a Saturday interview with the London-based newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat

Yousef furthermore stated that Hamas has already generated plans and proposals to unite economically with Egypt instead of Israel. According to Hamas, Egypt can serve as ‘Gaza’s gateway’ to the Arab and Muslim world and as its in-depth strategic partner.

Egypt frees key Hamas terrorist

October 15, 2007 by Justin View Comments

The Egyptian authorities have released a top Hamas operative wanted by the Palestinian Authority and Israel for his involvement in terror attacks over the past few years, PA officials told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.

The officials expressed outrage over the release of Nahro Massoud – one of the commanders of Hamas’s armed wing, Izzadin Kassam – who fled to Egypt more than a year ago. At the request of the PA, Massoud and several other Hamas fugitives were arrested by the Egyptian security forces and held without trial.

Massoud’s name had appeared on a Hamas list of prisoners whose release the group was demanding in exchange for kidnapped IDF soldier Cpl. Gilad Schalit.

Does this mean we’ll see Schalit released soon? I wouldn’t hold my breath.

You know what stood out to me the most in this article?

“The refugees need protection and sanctuary, and the Jewish people’s history as well as the values of democracy and humanity pose a moral imperative for us to give them that shelter,”

Apartheid state, indeed.
